It is December, and we are at the crossroads yet again; it is time to look back but it is also time to look ahead. 2008 has been very fruitful at Mosaic; we continue to grow with the printed version, thanks to all the contributors who send us their pieces to be published. We are however working hard to stay one step ahead – our pilot online version is making its rounds, thanks in major part to Gilda Dadush and her persistent efforts to see our newsletter in the web format.
For this issue, we bring to you an in-depth article on our financial guru, Cary Clark and her practical and useful financial literacy classes. One of the most important things you can do for your financial well-being is to be aware of the importance of planning your personal finances especially in turbulent times like we are in now. So read the article and be motivated to start planning. We take you on a culinary journey with our second part in the Ethnic Foods series and we also feature a Peruvian restaurant review in this issue. Our Teens talk about stereotypes and we bring to you a new teen group “FLY” that was created by the bank teens who met at the Teen Summer Program. Our new member, Asmin brings you our photo page this month. WBFN is the place where you can always walk in with your ideas and suggestions, find new friends and opportunities to volunteer! We look forward to meeting more of you in the coming year. Happy Holidays!
Maaike le Grand and Vidya Rangan.
