We, the Book Project Team,
invite you to join our efforts
The Book Project volunteers:
locate sources and solicit book donations
identify suitable distributors in collaboration with the World Bank Country Offices and other organizations
select the recipient countries and institutions
sort donated books to determine suitability
match to request from elementary through high schools, colleges and universities and pack books having regard to subject area and level
manage book inventory including the warehouse

World Bank Family Network Book Project mission is to assist the education of children in developing countries through book donations by sending a shipment of books to schools and libraries in four countries each year
We go about that by soliciting donations of suitable books from school systems, schools and individuals. Our task is made possible thanks to WBFN volunteers and World Bank Group staff.
